Documentation:
Before starting the online submission procedure, please carefully verify that you have all the following documents at hand (in PDF format).
- Your full Curriculum Vitae.
- A one-page research plan that you propose to the Project Management Board.
A scanned copy of the first page of your passport.
A scanned copy (or certificate) of the second higher education degree, or a certificate of enrollment in a PhD program (only for doctoral mobility).
- A PhD certificate or a scanned copy of your PhD diploma (only for post-doctoral mobility).
A letter of endorsement signed by a scientist affiliated with one of the partners. That partner will be your home institution (only for post-doctoral mobility).
The collected data will be processed by EACEA by following the policies illustrated in this Privacy Statement.

Grants:
Each grant includes a monthly scholarship, health and travel insurance, and travel costs (round trip ticket). For all the specific information you need about eligibility, selection procedures and grants please refer to the official Erasmus Mundus 2009-2013 Programme Guide.

General eligibility conditions (NEW!):
European students:
In order to be eligible, European doctoral and post-doctoral candidates:
1. Must be a national of an EU Member State;
2. For doctorate mobility, must have obtained a second higher education degree or a recognized equivalent level of learning from a EU Higher Education Institution (not necessarily within the consortium) in the academic year coinciding with the start of the mobility eligibility period; or must be currently registered in a doctoral program in a Higher Education Institution (not necessarily within the consortium);
3. For post-doctorate mobility, must have obtained their doctorate and must have a letter of endorsement from one of the EU Higher Education Institutions within the partnership to carry out post-doctorate mobility. This can be for research, training and attending highly specialized courses.
The minimum period of exchange is 6 monthsTravel may begin as early as January 1st, 2017, but must begin before December 31st, 2017.
Students are expected to conduct research with a scientist at any member institution.

Third-country students:
In order to be eligible, third-country/territory doctoral and post-doctoral candidates:
1. Must be a national of one of the third countries (Australia or New Zealand)
2. For a doctorate mobility, must have obtained a second higher education degree or a recognized equivalent level of learning from a third-country/territory Higher Education Institution (not necessarily within the consortium) in the same academic year coinciding with the start of the project eligibility period or must be currently registered in a doctoral programme in a Higher Education Institution (not necessarily within the consortium);
3. For a post-doctorate mobility, must have obtained their doctorate and must have the support of one of the third-country/territory Higher Education Institutions within the partnership to carry out post-doctorate mobility. This can be for research, training and for attending highly specialized courses.

Academic and Administrative Staff:
In order to be eligible, academic and higher education staff:
1. Must work in or be associated to one of the Higher Education Institutions within the partnership;
2. Must be national of an EU Member State or of one of the third countries (Australia or New Zealand);
3. Mobility assignments must be based on partnership agreements between the members of the partnership;
4. The home and host universities and the individual staff must agree on the program of lectures to be delivered by the visiting teachers, on the research activities or on the type of training to be followed by staff.
Staff fellowships are awarded for 1 up to 3 months. Staff applications are accepted at any time. Staff mobility can start anytime and they may be split into monthly periods. However, the lump sum for traveling expenses is only awarded once.
